Vegan Friendly Co-working Space at GreenR Cafe in Delhi

A delightful new find in Delhi’s hip village Shahpur Jat. While the ground floor houses some designer jewellery, you go up a steep spiral staircase to discover a large and lively warehouse styled cafe. I was delighted to discover that it is completely vegetarian and also vegan friendly.

It houses a small co-working space, so a great place to click away at your laptop when you need someone to keep bringing you some healthy and delicious food, drinks and desserts! They also have a small retail shelf where you can buy organic, vegan and other health healthy offerings like raw vegan organic chocolate and kale chips. Do carry some spare cash or your credit card with you!

About the Food

While the cafe is vegetarian, it offers many vegan options that are also marked on the menu. Plus the manager is always happy to try out vegan versions of other items and let you know if it is possible to make them vegan. So, go ahead and ask for it.

The food is presented on earthenware and has a rustic yet fresh feeling about it. I loved their starters with hummus and a beetroot dip. The sweet potato fries were simply scrumptious. The salad was light and refreshing and the meat balls made from lentils delightful and filling.

We loved the food so much that we wanted to try EVERYTHING but there was only limited space in our stomachs. One of the sandwiches had raw jackfruit cooked with sauces to imitate pulled pork and I really enjoyed the rich flavours. Also on offer are sandwiches and thai curry etc. etc.

Every seasoned vegan knows that there is no point looking at the dessert menu in regular restaurants. But at GreenR, they actually have vegan desserts on the menu. I was so delighted to see that!
